Sunday thoughts

My golf swing continues to be a constant evolution.  As I played today I couldn’t help but think about all the different thoughts, methods, directions and even clubs I tried the past few days searching for answers.  Something has changed this year though, and it’s hard to put it into perspective.  With each week that passes I find more confidence no matter what I shoot.  For the first time in my life a bad round no longer equals going back to square one.  Instead, I pull all the good from each round and build upon that.

I think the other key right now is having a deeper understanding of my swing.  Keep an eye on my left foot in the video, this is my single focus right now.  If I drive correctly I go my left side, the foot stays on the ground and provides a stable base for my rotate around.  However, it likes to pop up through impact causing my hips to move towards the ball and decreasing he space between my body and hands.  The end result is tilt verses rotation and having to make up for this move with my hands.  This is the closest I have been to harnessing the ground properly and I will continue to push towards complete stability!

Tomorrow marks the end of the July challenge, and with that comes a new one for August.  More on that tomorrow and on the #metconmonster challenge I will be joining August 8-21!
