Heading into a new week with this in mind….

We are 1 week out from the PNGA Mid-Am, a tournament I advanced to the finals in last year only to beat myself.  So this morning I put a peg in the ground before 6am with one goal in mind, make birdies.  This was on of my greatest lessons from my final round loss last year and I am working on switching my mind frame from playing defense to taking command of the golf course.  Today I focused on feeling confidence with each foot step and completing each swing with resilience.  It will be a fun week of prep ahead, my swing feels great and with the course playing 5400 yards, my practice time this week will be focused on placing pressure on my short game.

See you tomorrow….S

P.S. Congrats to Jon Rahm on winning the Irish Open today!!

I'm Shawn, Performance Coach at Golfletica in Bellevue, Wa. I specialize in bringing out the awesome in athletes, especially golfers. 13 years ago I graduated from the home of the 2010 FCS Football Champions (Go Eags!) with a degree in Exercise Science and a broken down body from playing college golf. That lead to my mission to help the world move better, with less pain and killer dance moves. Thanks to the help of my partner in crime Dr. Harry Sese, not only am I playing pain free golf but I get to witness lives change everyday through the power of teamwork.
