One of my favorite ways to get my body ready to move in a hurry is this little number!
Lunge Reach and Pushup
- Step back in to an awesome reverse lunge focusing on hip/knee alignment, keeping the pelvis in a posterior tilt to actively stretch the hip flexors and keeping your chest tall
- Reach for the inside of your foot and open your chest into the forward leg
- Place both hands on each side of your forward leg and then step back into pushup position
- Keep the elbows at a 45 degree angle, glutes squeezed and head neutral
- And it’s pushup time!
- Step back forward and return to standing
