A little Sunday warm up

One of my favorite ways to get my body ready to move in a hurry is this little number!

Lunge Reach and Pushup

  • Step back in to an awesome reverse lunge focusing on hip/knee alignment, keeping the pelvis in a posterior tilt to actively stretch the hip flexors and keeping your chest tall
  • Reach for the inside of your foot and open your chest into the forward leg
  • Place both hands on each side of your forward leg and then step back into pushup position
  • Keep the elbows at a 45 degree angle, glutes squeezed and head neutral
  • And it’s pushup time!
  • Step back forward and return to standing
